does not have all the information necessary to order contact lenses. In
additional to the power part, a contact lens prescription also specifies
the shape, size (diameter), and curvature (base curve) of your lenses. Contact
lenses come in different sizes, and you must see your eye care professionals
to obtain a pair of contact lenses that best fits you. As a replacement
center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you have a valid prescription
for, and are already wearing successfully. |

What information do I need to order my contact
lenses? |

All of the information required to fill your
order are available on the lens packaging you are currently wearing as well
as on your contact lens prescription. In most States, eye care professionals
are required by law to release your prescription once the fitting is complete.
Please make sure that your prescription is signed by your eye care professional
and is still valid because we would be unable to dispense contact lenses
from an expired prescription.
For regular patients, we require:
Brand name - e.g. Bausch & Lomb Optima FW
Power/Sphere/Rx - a number between -20 and +20
OD - Right Eye
OS - Left Eye
OU - Both Eyes
BC (Base Curve) - a number between 8.0 to 9.5
Dia (Diameter) - a number between 13.0 and 15.0
For astigmatic patients, we also require:
Cyl (Cylinder) - a number between -4.00 and +4.00
Axis - a number between 0° and 180°
Cylinder and Axis are usually separated by "X" and read as "times"
For bifocal wearers, we also require:
Add Power - a number between +1.00 to +2.50
An example of a regular prescription would look like this:
OS Brand name: Acuvue 2
OS BC: 8.3 DIA: 14.0 SPHERE: -3.00
OD Brand name: B&L 2 Week
OD BC: 8.6 DIA: 14.2 SPHERE: -3.25
An example of an astigmatic prescription would look like this:
OS Brand name: Acuvue Toric
OS BC: 8.7 DIA: 14.4 SPHERE:-2.50
OS CYL & AXIS: -1.25 X 170°
OD Brand name: Focus Toric
OD BC: 8.7 DIA: 14.0 SPHERE: -4.50

*All these information may seem very complicated but in fact they are

We guarantee that all our products are factory sealed and free of any manufacturer defects. Within 10 days of receipt, if the lenses are found somehow defective or have shipping defects, products in their original containers can be returned to us for a replacement at no charge.
Should you need to return the defective products, please call or email us at info@smartviewcontacts.com to receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Accompany with this number, your original invoice and a copy of your valid prescription, you can then return the defective products to us in the original factory container for a replacement within 2 weeks.
Sorry that we do not exchange or refund for color, toric and bifocal lenses; nor do we exchange or refund your lenses just because you have a new prescription. Therefore, please order contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully with the correct prescriptions.
*Any returns or refunds that are not the fault of SmartView Contacts or not due to product defects are subjected to a $5.00 USD handling charge.
